recently, i’ve seen more and more DSLRs…at every event, even when we’re just out shopping I can see camera bags and huge cameras everywhere! it’s not just the point-and-shoot kind but the big ones with pop-up flash and long lenses and tripods…my brother is thinking of getting one soon, before he heads off to cambodia so he has something to capture the memories as best as he can.it’s also a nice skill to acquire–taking great photos.

have friends who are great at taking photographs..of nature, people and events.

for me, i’m not ready to embark on that yet…am looking for a good point-and-shoot camera. not to photo-whore but to be able to capture little moments in a photograph is really magical. i applaud my friends who can do it and have been doing it for sometime now, seeing their photos really inspires and it inspires me not just to want to be able to take such good photos but to open up my eyes to see such beauty around.

can check out inertia is a sin…i go here mainly to catch up on my ex-teacher’s life, see what’s been going on and to admire the photos he takes when he’s out on his nature adventures. i like visiting dooce as well for her funny posts and photos of her dogs, family and surroundings…others i go to for design inspiration. this reminds me–> time to update my blogroll.
