it's just another day now.

so…in line with keeping to my resolution of being more brave, i spoke up a little during a meeting with my colleagues (including my bosses) and i guess that’s a small achievement =)

i’m saying this here because i think it’s important to praise one’s self even when these ‘achievements’ may seem small and trivial to others. at the end of the day, it DOES NOT MATTER WHAT OTHERS THINK but what you learn and how you grow because of your personal change in mindset and perspective.

sure, others can inspire and motivate you but sometimes, others can also limit you. it really depends on what kind of company you keep and how well-intentioned (or not) they may be. at the end of the day, independence is something we should work towards to…(not independence from the big kahuna of course, He helps in more ways than we think/believe)  but being able to have fortitude to live life sometimes needs to come from within ourselves.

perhaps i’m rambling.

nope, you’re not rambling. ’tis the truth! :p

If you keep in mind that when you depend on yourself, that yourself is in fact Jesus working through you, then I’d suppose you’re right. You should be independent of others, and be dependent on yourself, because you are in effect actually being dependent on Jesus.

But for that to happen, you’d have to first deny yourself of any rights. This is the hard part.

See you around!

zzz, such complicated comments.relac people.
